Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Four Paws Play Centre. Our aim is to provide a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for dogs and their owners.
By making a booking, entering the premises or using any of our facilities, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions, our centre rules and any reasonable instructions given by our staff.
1. Bookings
1.1 All bookings are subject to availability and must be made through our approved booking system or directly with Four Paws Play Centre.
1.2 The person making the booking must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
1.3 The person making the booking confirms that they are authorised to bring the dog(s) listed on the booking.
1.4 Bookings are personal to the customer and must not be transferred to another person without prior agreement from Four Paws Play Centre.
1.5 Please arrive in sufficient time for your booked session. Your session will finish at the scheduled time, even if you arrive late.
2. Our Services
We offer a range of sessions, which may include:
-
45-Minute Soft Play – access to our indoor soft-play area.
-
45-Minute Outdoor Area – access to our secure outdoor play area.
-
45-Minute Full Experience – access to both the indoor soft-play and outdoor areas.
-
Party Time – special sessions or private bookings for celebrations and group activities.
Specific facilities, availability and restrictions may vary depending on the booking made.
3. Responsibility for Your Dog
3.1 Owners and handlers remain responsible for their dogs at all times.
3.2 You must supervise your dog appropriately and take reasonable steps to prevent your dog from causing injury, distress or damage.
3.3 You must tell a member of staff immediately if your dog becomes unwell, is injured, behaves aggressively or is involved in an incident with another dog or person.
3.4 You must not knowingly bring a dog that presents a significant risk to other dogs, customers or staff.
3.5 If our staff reasonably believe that a dog is unsafe, excessively distressed, aggressive or unsuitable for the facilities, we may require the dog and/or owner to leave.
4. Dog Health & Vaccinations
4.1 Dogs attending the centre must be fit and well.
4.2 Dogs showing signs of contagious or infectious illness must not attend.
This includes, but is not limited to, vomiting, diarrhoea, persistent coughing, suspected infectious disease or unexplained discharge.
4.3 If your dog becomes unwell before a booking, please contact us as soon as possible and do not bring the dog to the centre.
4.4 We reserve the right to refuse entry where we reasonably believe a dog may pose a health or welfare risk to other dogs.
5. Dogs in Season
5.1 Female dogs that are in season are not permitted to use Four Paws Play Centre's play facilities.
5.2 Dogs should only return once their season has completely finished and all signs of bleeding or discharge have stopped.
5.3 As a general guideline, owners should allow at least 21 days from the first day of the season, or longer if the dog is still showing signs of being in season.
5.4 This rule is in place to help prevent unwanted mating and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all dogs.
6. Aggressive or Unsuitable Behaviour
6.1 We understand that dogs can become excited, nervous or overwhelmed in a new environment. However, behaviour that creates a safety risk cannot be permitted.
6.2 Examples include:

Repeated or serious attempts to attack another dog or person.
-
Biting or attempting to bite.
-
Persistent threatening behaviour.
-
Behaviour that causes significant distress to another dog.
-
Repeatedly ignoring staff instructions.
-
Any behaviour that creates an unacceptable safety risk.
6.3 Staff may ask an owner to remove their dog from the play area or leave the premises.
6.4 Where an incident occurs, staff may record details of the incident for health, safety and safeguarding purposes.
7. Dog Fights and Incidents
7.1 Dogs interact at their own risk. Although we take reasonable precautions and supervise the environment appropriately, dogs are animals and their behaviour can be unpredictable.
7.2 If a fight or other incident occurs, staff will take reasonable steps to separate the dogs and protect people and animals.
7.3 Owners must follow staff instructions during an incident.
7.4 Any injury should be reported to a member of staff immediately.
7.5 Where appropriate, owners may be asked to provide contact details and information about their dog following an incident.
8. Children
8.1 Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times.
8.2 Children must not enter restricted areas or interfere with equipment.
8.3 Children must be supervised and must follow staff instructions.
8.4 Four Paws Play Centre reserves the right to ask anyone who is behaving unsafely or inappropriately to leave the premises.
9. Hygiene & Fouling
9.1 Owners must clean up after their dog immediately.
9.2 If your dog has an accident inside or outside the designated area, please notify a member of staff immediately so that the area can be properly cleaned and sanitised.
9.3 Owners may be charged for significant cleaning, damage or specialist cleaning required as a result of their dog's actions, where permitted by law.
9.4 Dogs should not be deliberately encouraged to foul inside the soft-play area.
10. Damage to Property
10.1 Customers are responsible for damage caused by themselves, their children or their dog(s), other than damage caused by normal wear and tear or matters for which Four Paws Play Centre is legally responsible.
10.2 Where appropriate and legally permitted, the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing damaged property may be charged to the person responsible.
11. Safety Rules
Customers must follow all signs, instructions and safety rules displayed throughout the centre.
Customers must not:

Climb on or misuse equipment intended for dogs.

Enter staff-only or restricted areas.

Interfere with safety equipment.
-
Allow dogs into areas where they are not permitted.

Bring prohibited items onto the premises.

Deliberately encourage unsafe behaviour.
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in the session being terminated.
12. Cancellations & Changes
12.1 Our cancellation and amendment policy will be communicated at the time of booking.
12.2 If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
12.3 Refunds, credits or booking changes will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy applicable to your booking and any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
12.4 We may cancel or amend a session where circumstances outside our reasonable control make this necessary, including severe weather, equipment failure, emergency closure, health and safety concerns or other unforeseen circumstances.
12.5 Where we cancel a booking, we will explain the options available to the customer, which may include transferring the booking or receiving an appropriate refund where required.
13. Weather & Outdoor Sessions
13.1 Outdoor sessions may be affected by extreme weather conditions.
13.2 We may temporarily close or restrict access to the outdoor area where we reasonably consider conditions unsafe for dogs, customers or staff.
13.3 Customers should ensure that their dog is appropriately prepared for the weather conditions.
14. Parties & Group Bookings
14.1 Party bookings must comply with the specific terms provided at the time of booking.
14.2 The person making the party booking is responsible for ensuring that all guests and participating dogs comply with our rules.
14.3 The organiser must ensure that all children attending are appropriately supervised.
14.4 Four Paws Play Centre reserves the right to end a party or group session where behaviour creates a safety risk or where the terms of the booking are seriously breached.
15. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for their own belongings.
Four Paws Play Centre cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where we are legally responsible.
16. Photography & CCTV
For the safety and security of customers, staff and animals, CCTV may operate within the premises.
Photography or filming may also take place during events or sessions for promotional purposes. Where required, appropriate consent will be obtained.
If you do not wish to appear in promotional photographs or videos, please speak to a member of staff.
17. Liability
17.1 We take reasonable steps to provide a safe, clean and well-maintained environment.
17.2 However, dogs can behave unpredictably and participation in dog play activities carries inherent risks, including accidental injury, interaction between dogs and damage to property.
17.3 Customers remain responsible for their own dogs and for following all safety instructions.
17.4 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not permit such exclusion.
17.5 Subject to applicable law, Four Paws Play Centre is not responsible for loss, damage or injury arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from a customer's failure to follow our rules or staff instructions.
18. Right to Refuse Entry or End a Session
We reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session where we reasonably believe this is necessary for:

The safety or welfare of a dog.

The safety of customers or staff.

The safety of other dogs.
-
Hygiene or health reasons.
-
Breach of these Terms & Conditions.

Aggressive or inappropriate behaviour.

Damage or misuse of our facilities.
Where a session is ended because of a customer's or dog's behaviour, any refund will be considered in accordance with our cancellation and refund policy and applicable law.
19. Privacy
Personal information provided to Four Paws Play Centre will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
We may retain information relating to bookings, incidents and customer communications where reasonably necessary for the operation and safety of the centre and where permitted by law.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, facilities, legal requirements or operating procedures.
The latest version will be made available to customers.
21. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
22. Acceptance
By making a booking or using Four Paws Play Centre, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and all reasonable safety instructions given by our staff.
